My sister is having chemo in the Cancer center. She was ill and blood pressure hit 225/106. The cancer center needed her evaluated right away and was brought to the ED. Everyone at Lowell General was great until the emergency room. Standing room only. Very sick people all walks of life. We get registered and a BP was done very nonchalantly take a seat. Two women in EkG dept. ,one of them was asian, Week before it was just asian women, cause you only need one. i told asian to be careful with arm cause she was being rough. Sha said later in a smart comment about my arm and driving. I told her not to to be smart commenting about anything. One star to give a review! I forgot to mention they violated every hippo rule on the book!! I worked in hospitals and for doctors for many many years- my sister is also a nurse practitioner- and I know about the hippa rules!! I take this very seriously because they put all of my personal information out there for everyone to hear!- including my insurance card numbers - they went over names so if anybody was listening they could have just taken my information and not even needed to have a card!! they discussed all of my pe... read more

The ambulance was great. I might have been able to crawl, so I don't know if I needed it. I was given many head scans that I didn't want. There was no reason my head would be damaged. It was painful because I was moved on a sheet to different scan beds with no drugs. I was given an intramedullary nail. I wasn't given any choices for procedures. I can't find good evidence that titanium alloy is nontoxic enough to leave in for life. They had a good vegan meal, but possibly no nuts or seeds. I had some pain from not peeing afte... read more

Born n raised in lowell was born here always came here and it just gets worse n worse I am soo discussed with the E.R dirty not sanitized not clean at all they don't clean down the room when someone leaves I would feel better if I wore i hazmat suit.
