Laurie was amazing! She listened and followed through on all promises. She cared about me, my experience and my baby. We met multiple times and she was very supportive of my wishes and offered her opinion based our her experiences. She was responsive and timely even when my labor and delivery was on a holiday and in the middle of the night. We were all operating on no sleep and that seemed to have no effect on her performance. Laurie is THE BEST doula you could ever have. My daughter came hard and FAST in the back of our minivan on the way to the birth center. Laurie was on the phone with us in the car in the last few contractions- our phones got disconnected but she found us on the side of the road downtown (thanks to the flashing light of the fire trucks) jumped right in the car with me and sat with me, reassured me, kept a note of how I was looking to relay to the midwife and drove with us to the birth center. My husband and I took Laurie's birth prep class and it was amazing! We were preparing for a natural childbirth at the birthing center and she was very familiar with their setup and procedures. We went into labor very confident and excited and had an amazing delivery. We attribute a lot of that to Laurie and the time she spent with us. We did not have a doula, but if we had we would have definitely asked Laurie!!
