Used to love it here, but recently experienced intense in-activism.. to the point in which they kicked out a group of people trying to tell a religious hate group to get out of the lavender district. Complacency and lack of a stance is a stance. You can't be in the gay district and not stand up for the lgbtq+ community.
This is a German-style eatery based in the center of the gay-district. If that doesn't clue you in to their stance, then their attitude and treatment towards lgbtq+ and people of color are support enough. Never experienced such obvious hate prejudice, and racism. If you are a person of color, lgbtq+, or anything against the norm, avoid this place for your safety and sanity.
I used to love this place. Their food was always top tier. The drinks, service, food and atmosphere was somewhere I looked forward to every weekend. The recently changed owners and the new owner changed the menu. They got rid of their OG meals (the famous lowbrau burger THAT WON AN AWARD.) They got rid of everything that made this place what it was. I had my first date here 4 years ago and we both fell in love with the energy and the workers.
