Went to Lovisa to get a lobe piercing and was pretty underwhelmed. The girl who did my piercing was so very young and very sweet. Unfortunately the actual piercing was very rough and her hand jerked a lot with the gun and wrenched my ear both times. It was significantly more painful than it should have been (and have had done at other stores). However it was very cheap ($30 with discounted jewellery) so that’s a plus.
At a certain point, you realise it’s not a bad experience with Lovisa. It’s the experience. What really pushed this over the edge was the return policy. I tried to return an unopened pack of nose rings within the stated 30-day window, only to be told that “piercing items, hair items & earrings” are excluded. That’s (I’m guessing) 90% of what Lovisa sells. It’s deliberately restrictive and misleading. My young daughter did her ear piercing here (10/11/25). Very friendly and professional staff (Aisha and another lady), great experience.
Went there today as they had an ad for sales starting at $3 which sounded like a good deal. Carefully selected 10 pairs at $3 and then when I went to pay and was advised bill was $32, questioned why and was advised it’s because one of the sets was wrongly priced from the factory and there is nothing that could be done. Went on to ask if that’s how it works and I was advised yes, Prices can be changed at the pay point. Asked if the lady serving was the manager she asked yes and advised the other one is on a break.
