Today, while visiting Brooklyn, NY, I decided to get my nails done, and my daughter accompanied me as we prepared for an anniversary party tomorrow. Came here for the first time and was really excited to try a new place close to home. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I came in for a Gel-X fill-in and showed the manicurist a picture of the nails I wanted. Before starting, I specifically asked how much everything would cost, and she told me $65. I thought that was reasonable, especially since I normally pay around $90 for Gel-X with 3D nail designs. However, when it was time to check out, I was told my total was $113. They did a great job with my nails, amazing service, patient, detailed and very thorough. Would definitely come back.
This has been my go-to nail salon for years. I normally do walk-ins and never had any issues. But every time I make appointments, they are not honored. I made 4 gel manicure and gel pedicure appointments for myself, my 2 sisters and my mom at 10am. We arrived 10 minutes early and they had just taken a walk-in (the nail tech seemed very shocked since they realized they made a mistake taking that walk-in).
