Dr. Rivera is highly skilled and knowledgeable. I feel grateful to have him as my surgeon. He is compassionate and kind.
In the first appointment, he was normal and calm. He told me he would prescribe pain medication after surgery. I did all the diagnostics he wanted, which were awful. Then right before surgery I asked for my pain medication script and he just yelled at me for five minutes about the opioid crisis. I left very afraid, and certain that he cared more about a badly managed social problem than he did about my well being.
