Stay away from this doctor! After 9 months of pain, he gave me a 1-minute "examination" (bend forward; bend back; bend side to side), dismissed the diagnosis of all the other health professionals I've seen, and basically treated me with extreme sarcasm when I objected, politely, to his dismissal of my injury as "muscular." Can't believe he's practicing; this level of care was a total joke and travesty.
This physician had no bedside manner, office is kind of old and needs updating. Staff not very friendly, everyone seems like they hate their job. The doctor didn't ask many questions about my condition..kept telling me to slow down when i was talking as he wrote some of it down. He lacked eye contact which made it uncomfortable. I would never recommend this physician.
I had a total knee replacement on July 20th. It is now a little over two months later, and my scar is healing beautifully, my range of motion is at 110 and I'm working toward 120. I believe my success is two fold Dr. Mariorenzi insists on an aggressive approach to the first two weeks of homecare physical therapy, and my willingness to do what is required by physical therapy. Dr. Louis Mariorenzi is a extremely gifted surgeon totally dedicated to his patients.
I would not refer this doctor to my worst enemy! He's a lying old man that will ruin your life if referred to him because of a workers compensation injury. He is in bed with beacon mutual ins & has been since the 1990's. He receivsd about $1500 per exam to lie about patients he sees & disregards all of their complaints & injuries, even when other doctors findings so proof of serious injury. How this man is still practicing medium is beyond me & just flat out preposterous! Beware of him!
I've seen both of the Mariorenzis, father and son, and it's a tie in the race as to who's more lazy or apathetic. My physical exam consisted of a LITERAL 30-second head-to-toe glance and I was sent home with NOTHING. Went to a different orthopedist and was found to have a cyst in in my spine, multiple degenerative discs, disc bulges, and even thorasic outlet. If anyone's reading this, go ANYWHERE but here. Their practice is a joke.
His exam was to (1) ask me to rate my pain level for that day, (2) ask me to touch my toes, (3) ask me to bend back and look at the ceiling, and (4) run a spur down my finger and ask if I could feel it. Whenever I attempted to give any answer more than a few words he cut me off. Learned from my lawyer he is the go-to guy for the big-time insurance companies. They even call him The Terminator for all the benefits he's caused to be denied to injured workers. He exuded a total lack of empathy
