I interviewed 2 nurses while my son was in respite stay, then I brought him home and was told only one nurse would continue doing 60 hours..... This was a major red flag I missed. After a couple of weeks I had addressed my concerns with the agency and the nurse, reusing the same gloves during the 12 hour shifts, not interacting with my son, leaving the room for long periods of time, and not capturing his seizure activity bc she assumed he was shivering. I have tried many agencies through the past several years struggling with chronic illness and losing my independence. So many places did not live up to their expecting or offer all the services on their site. I would always get people who judged me bc of my age, didn't speak any English and was poor with communication. I will say this agency has been a miracle.
