Poor quality food. I ordered a burrito dinner, with beans and beef for filling, Spanish rice, and refried beans as sides. The rice is made using Minute Rice, the side tortilla that comes with the dinner was gummy, the extra sopapilla I ordered was very small, but tasty. Last, the filling was beef only as they neglected the beans for what I selected. The red chile was ok- has some heat but no flavor. In light of the very good reviews here, I hope my order was only an "off night" order.
Best family owned business anywhere. These days you get horrible frozen food from just about every restaurant anywhere so they can save money. But at Los Compadres I have never ever eaten any food there that tasted frozen, dry or just plain awful. This restaurant has the best fresh food, wonderful tasting, best chile, I am partial to the red. All the menu is GREAT, the customer service is exceptional, I have never had a bad experience. Absolutely wonderful food. The chicharrones were so good!!! They're sopas we're delicious too. All of it was good. We had a table of 8 and they accommodated us very well. The service was quick and efficient which I loved.
Anyone who says their enchiladas are good must not like food with flavor. Who makes an enchilada with no sauce? With the lettuce and tomato on the side it was just a rolled taco. Absolutely no spice or flavor as far as I could tell. At least I know not to order from them again. Do yourself a favor. Go somewhere else.
