System does not work with the phone app and customer support is utterly useless. More than 10 phone calls later and 4 case numbers, they escalated the case which literally did nothing. Got an email saying my issue has been resolved and case closed. Buy a system that works from a company that stands by their customers and doesn't just jerk them around for months
I have installed surveillance systems and their components for years. Have always purchased Lorex bullet cameras, domes and PTZ’s. Lorex systems have lasted for over a decade. But, as things seem to be moving towards AI, so does Lorex technologies. But more to the point, they are moving away from Residential applications. Poor ability to troubleshoot issues with the NVR. Used to work great, then got Lorex Classic, inferior jWould not recommend any of their devices.
I purchased a Lorex 4K 12MP 16 camera capable ( eight wired +8 fusion Wi-Fi 2TB wired NVR system with each 30 IP dome cameras 4 ) SKU N4KPL2-84WD Order # LA1057227. The system worked great For about a year and a half the camera started to flicker off and on at times and finally the hard drive NVR system died. Sadly, things happen just after warranty so there’s nothing that can be done about it but leave a review for the product. Lorex app keeps shutting down when trying to view events. This has been happening for the past couple weeks. Lorex needs to fix this immediately or camera systems are useless....... UPDATE..... June 23, 2026 Lorex came out with updated app. Works like normal now.
