If you're from the Bay, LA, etc don't listen to the reviews, they're clearly from people who aren't from around here. This place is not good, everything was mid or less. Bland rice, bland beans, dry and bland al pastor and carne asada. Only good thing was the beer and liquor selection.
Friendly staff with hard to find brands of spirits.
We tried tacos on a road trip all the way from SF to LA and Lopez taqueria was by far the best we tried. Super recommend the fish tacos, the salsa was perfection. The staff were lovely including the granny making the food. We stayed in Monterey two days and came here both days
