I hired Loomis to paint our kitchen island, and the initial quote included sanding and proper prep work before painting. However, shortly after the job was done, the paint began chipping, showing the old white paint underneath which means that the surface was never sanded as promised. The paint continues to chip, and despite multiple attempts to contact them, my calls and messages have gone unanswered (even though the owner said to contact them if we had any issues). Initial communication was good. Guys were professional. Then stain started peeling day after job was done. Owner claimed it was an issue with sherwin Williams product not their work. They did not wash or prep the deck before applying stain so product didn’t adhere. Owner refused to fix until threatened with lawsuit. Then communication stopped or was so delayed I ended up paying another company twice what i initially paid Loomis to remove their bad work and re-do it.
