A family owned local business for over 42 years, Looking Glass delivers cameras, lenses, photography supplies, digital processing, digital printing, photography classes, camera equipment rentals, preowned (used) cameras and equipment, and so much more! We are passionate about photography. So much so that one of our mantras is not that we sell cameras, but that we celebrate photography. They have darkroom laboratory rental time and a great staff. I’ll be spending more time with these good people.
Fantastic independent camera store! Also, one of the few places with a darkroom--a great service!
It's a beautiful store with a great selection, but that's not why I'm a loyal and enthusiastic customer. It's the people who work here: honest and knowledgeable. I also like the classes and the frequent interesting events that Looking Glass hosts.
With the demise of Calumet and with Adolph Gassers' decline in quality items, Looking Glass is the East Bay's best source, along with Camera West, for pros and serious amateurs. A knowledgeable and friendly staff awaits all at Looking Glass.
Wonderful place to just visit if you are in the area... Wish I had more to to go to some of the classes... I will find away very soon...
