RecommendedDr. Brown and the staff are amazing! We took our sweet girl Bailey yesterday to the office for the first time. Although we had to make a very tough decision, we felt comforted by the kindness and thoroughness of Dr. Brown. Being given the option to take her outside for her last moments was a surprise and brought us so much comfort. The placed a blanket on the grass and gave us time to love on our girl. Very kind and very special. It is without hesitation that we highly recommend Dr. Brown and Look Ahead Veterinary Services.

Look Ahead Vet is the best in the business! Their level of service is bar none. When my dog required a c-section they were comforting and provided all the options possible. Never were pushy and provided all the outcomes. They successfully delivered a litter of 10 labs and Stella wants them to know she was blessed to have them!
You will NOT go wrong trusting any of your pets with these folks. From the front desk reception you receive to the knowledgeable and caring vet techs to the actual vets, they are all wonderful. They treat all our dogs as family. The only place I’ve taken my dogs for over 20 years💕
My 14 yr old doxie just had acupuncture from Dr. Prather...I got home and fed her and then she proceeded to roll around on her babies and throw them in the air...my heart is full❤️ Thank you so much Dr. Prather for helping me keep this old girl happy and comfortable!
Dr Brown was great with my not so social dog Carter. He let him earn his trust then found out what was bothering his ears. I'm so grateful I was able to get him seen immediately. No wait time and all the staff were super nice. Very affordable as well. Carter will definitely be back if he ever needs care again.
Everything about this Vet Service says WE LOVE ANIMALS! I have been taking my fur babies to them since 2008 and have never had a complaint. They treat my dogs and cat like they are important and they treat me like that too! If you love yours like I love mine; visit Look Ahead and see for yourself.
I would recommend Look Ahead Vet to anyone looking for a great, caring place to take their pet. As a new cat mom and with lots of veterinary options in the Chico area, I wasn’t really sure where to start. After my experience today, I won’t go anywhere else!
