I got screwed by Blakes!!! I got charged 4000 dollars for a transmission that never worked. It broke down 4 times since Dan replaced it and the last time it broke down I took it to a real mechanic and the guy says "what did he do to your truck"? Come to find out, Dan used parts that were old and he made it run just long enough to make me take it back to him. Dan is a crook and has screwed me out of 5000 dollars. Blake Auto Repair I recently took my car here for an oil change. They did a good job, however, they did put an extra part and charged me for it without my consent ahead of time. I wasn't too happy about, it needed to be fixed, but a call for my permission would have been nice. Their location is on a one way street and is difficult to find parking if the front of the building is full. You have to go around the building again to find where to pull in. Not happy with their work!! We took our 1985 Lindy Motor home with a 460 Ford Engine to them over a month ago and just got it back today with a bill of over $1,000. When we took it in it was having problems with what seemed like a fuel line or vacuum leak problem. They said no problem, couldn't get to it till Monday (this was a Friday). Almost 2 weeks later they called said that it probably needed a carbuerator replaced which would cost about $700. We were just traveling through on a trip when our alternator went out. I looked them up and gave them a call they told me to bring it in and they would look at it. They had it changed and we were on our way in a couple hours. Great friendly people!!
Have always done a good job on my wife's car and on my diesel pickup. Found the problem with my wife's car that other shops hadn't found for 3 years. They are not cheap, but they don't gouge either.
