I got my rescue dog from the shelter, Diego was not in the best of shape. Dr. Shaffer poked and prodded him for about a year and got him back to health. Then for some reason I thought it would be great to change vets and go to the new clinic that opened up down the street. Needless to say, Ego got really sick and my brother (in that annoying older-sibling voice) told me to get Ego back to Dr. Shaffer before I lost him. When taking your pet to a vet, make the wise choice and run a check on him and make sure that he/she is qualified in all areas of treatment - especially diagnostic procedures with their own lab. Longmont Animal Hospital gets 5 stars in all categories. If you watch Dr. Shaffer while he is tending to your pet, you will see the kindest, most intent eye contact with your pep that is unbelievably genuine. My dog hurt her leg on a hike and began limping, and both she and I were really scared. The staff at Longmont Animal Hospital took great care of her and made us both feel better. I felt good knowing I had them taking care of my girl.
Dr Shaffer is genuinely nice and even remembered my dog when I brought him in a few weeks ago to get a wound checked (which I was able to get him scheduled for immediately). Thank you so much!!
I have a great experience at Longmont Animal Hospital. Their staff is very courteous and timely. I never had a problem getting an appointment. I found Dr. Shaffer to be very thorough and she explains everything very well. I definitely recommend this place to any pet owner.
