POOR SERVICE Longhorn installed my a/c unit 2005, unit is still under warrenty & it recently stopped cooling, service guy came out & fixed the problem which was the line were rubbing during operation which caused a hole to appear in the freon line & it out leaked out. I contacted Trane Corp. & they told me Longhorn should have inspected the lines @ installation as well as the rest of the unit before signing off on it since units can be damaged or become misaligned during shipping. They didn't do that. I contacted Longhorn & ... read more
Stay away from this company!!!!! This company sold me a crappy AC unit and then tried to charge over $500 to fix it. Stay away from them.
Do not use Longhorn...you will regret it! Very disappointed with Longhorn HVAC. Have had several A/C and Heat units go out in my community, which was all provided and installed by Longhorn. Turns out, large majority of the problems were because of poor installations and neglect during start check stage. Would NOT recommend Longhorn to anyone. One of the owners is extremely standoffish and completely unreasonable. Must be tough for him to know he runs a shoddy business and probably fields calls from unsatisfied consumers all ... read more
Air Conditioning After two years and when the factory warranty had expired I had valve go out so the air conditioning/heating would not defrost. I was told by Longhorn that all warranty had expired. They told me it would cost $650 to fix the unit. Come to find out the part was covered by warranty and I would only be charged labor. I was told it was a flat rate job. The Tech came out and it took him 2 hours to fix the unit. This came to $325 an hour in labor. I called up and was told that this was common practice. CONSUMER BE... read more
I am beyond UNHAPPY My husband and I just bought a brand new house and moved in June 2010. The house is only 6 months old and the main floor ac unit was not cooling down so that was one condition that was suppose to be repaired before we moved in. Well needless to say it was working for 2 days when we moved in and then stopped cooling. We had them out to fix it and now again it is Aug 5, 2010 and both of my units are out. Grrr What is wrong with this picture? Every time I have call I get the same lady and she is a handful to... read more
Improved Follow up to previous review. Got through to owner of Longhorn. He actually immediately returned my call on a Sunday evening and had my HVAC fixed the next day. It has been working just fine ever since. Longhorn installed my AC in 2007. AC stopped working in June 2009. They "repaired" it in July and charged me labor and parts. AC stopped working again in August and Longhorn is saying that they will have to charge again for the visit! Stay away from this company!
Longhorn Heating & Air Cond is WONDERFUL!!! We had a new A/C system put in and they were great. The service was outstanding and they are o nice. We thought we got a really good deal. Several people thought they were to high and went with another company and shortly after that they had to have more work done because the quality was under par. I have recommended Longhorn to others and will keep on doing so.
AC what do you charge to come out and check my AC? We had that power outage Sunday in Rowlett. I changed my theromstat last night and it's still not wotking. Where do i go from here?
