I have to say that I was surprised to read these one star reviews, and then realized that if they only have a couple complaints out of hundreds of tenants, that is a pretty good track record. I rented from them for 5 years and just recently moved out because we ended up building a home. I have never had any issues whatsoever with them. I made an account just so I could leave a review. I feel like I should warn people about these money stealers. All they do is raise the rent send out new rules constantly. It's very difficult to talk to an actual person on the phone as well. They just have fees after fees. When we moved out, they didn't give our deposit back and charged us $600 for "damages". If you want a great place to rent from, and a place that cares about your safety and needs, than DO NOT EVER rent from Long Real Estate. The apartment manager is a joke, and could care less about your problems and when you call with a concern, she gets an attitude with you. You can not get a direct person when you call, instead you must leave a message and hope that they decide it is important enough for them to get back to you. Long and sons real estate will completely rip you off every chance they get. The staff is rude and typically I have to leave 2 or 3 messages before someone will call me back. They have lied to me on several occasions and will try and make up things to charge you for. They only accept payments by mail and they tried to charge me $300 in fees claiming that my checks didn't arrive to them for over a week after they were mailed. They never answer maintenance calls. Their homes have bugs, no door locks, smoke ditectors, owners cuss you out on the phone when we called with questions. There criminals.
