Bad, Bad, Bad! LI Women's Health Care used to be a typical OB/Gyn practice. The practice started getting bad when they jumped on the "women obsessed with youth and beauty" bandwagon and started doing botox, liposuction, vein treatments, laser hair removal, etc. in the office. I just want a Gynecologist! If I wanted those other things, I would go to a dermatologist or plastic surgeon! I have found another Gyn, who only practices Gyn.

Terrible I have gone to the office in Bellmore 4 times - each time I waited over an hour and a half to see the doctor. The office is completely disorganized, and when you do ask when you are going to be seen, they always tell you "you're next," but then proceed to call back more patients ahead of you. Also, two of the times I went there, the nurses didn't even realize I was pregnant (even though it was on my chart which they had in their hands, and I was there for specific appointments related to pregnancy AND had confirmed ... read more

Going down fast I have been a patient of LIWHC for several years and have seen how the practice is getting worse and worse. My daughter was delivered by Dr. Nathanson and I was hoping for him to deliver our second child only to find out that he is no longer delivering. I am already over 5 months along and wasn't even told that only 2 doctors are on call for deliveries and if neither is available I will see a complete stranger from a completely different practice on the day I go into labor. I had only found out by chance when... read more

Great Ob/Gyn The staff and physicians at Long Island Womens Health care are very friendly and caring. They are conveniently located and offer extended hours for those who need evening hours. They do accept several forms of insurance but also have reasonable prices for those who aren't covered. PROS: satisified overall CONS:

Disappointed I've been going to LIWHC for the past 10 years, and up until 2 years ago, everything was fantastic. Dr. Nathanson was my primary doctor, and was always very on top of things and very thorough. Last year I had a miscarriage. After the sonogram, Dr. Gates walked in to the room and replied, "Your baby has no heartbeat, you can choose to get a DNC or wait for it to pass." This obviously was no way to deal with a patient who was pregnant for the first time. This was all said in the same breath. I'm now currently 5 mo... read more

Very Disorganized and Cannot return a phonecall I have been seeing Dr. Phillips for a few years now. He is pleasant, as are the other employees there. BUT, the office is so disorganized. Most recently, I went in for my 6 month check up and I needed a new RX for birth control. First, I was prescribed the wrong one, but I had to get it bc I wanted to stay on my pill and be safe - though it did cost me $20 more than usual. Then when I call to get the right RX (the generic, thus cheaper, alternative), two of my calls went unretu... read more

OB/GYN Practice I find this group to be great. The doctor's are very thorough. They make you feel very comfortable. The staff is great. The nurses are very sweet and will answer any concerns you may have as well as the doctor's. They are very accommodating to your needs. The office is clean and well organized. The run appointments on a timely manner. I highly recommend.

Hi=orrible I have been going to this OBGYN for a couple of years. I always felt a disconnection with Janet Miller CPA. On my recent visit and mostly all visits ( this being the 3rd and final one) I was asking some new information about my new birth control, she responded and made me feel inadequate like I was asking completely ridicolous question. I feel like whenever I ask her a question I am made to feel like my questions are meaningless and more like " WHY WOULD YOU ask that?" No one should feel like they are completely s... read more

Angry I have been seeing Janet Miller who is a PA there for a few years and never had a problem. She was very good. Then once I got pregnant, I had to start seeing the OB. Well I wound up seeing 3 of them and never had a good feeling about any of them. My appts were always switched and I never felt like I was being fully taken care of. I had a bad feeling the entire time of my pregnancy about the practice but didnt wanna go through the hassel of switching so i just dealt with it. I always had to wait a long time to be seen, ... read more
