Founded in 1901 in in Riverhead NY, the Long Island Cauliflower Association was formed by a group of Long Island farmers who were keenly aware of the need to obtain a good supply of cauliflower seed and to then market the product grown. Early records show trading in Dutch guilders to obtain cauliflower seed from the Netherlands. Early shipments of cauliflower from Long Island were packed in barrels, each head with paper over it and the top of the barrel sealed with burlap. The people here are excellent the service and knowledge of their staff is above standards. I talked to Mike and he helped me and gave me knowledge about native grasses that saved me money, time, and effort. I recommend you go to them for your seed needs. The grass and vegetables seed verities are amazing the shop has fun stuff yard, plant food, soil and more.
Great directions. Took me on the back roads to avoid traffic. Very direct east to maneuver
Lots of wonderful things at a reasonable price. However the hours are from 8-4 so unless I have a day off I won't be able to to shop there
