I rented from Long & Foster and have experience that indicates their business practices as a leasing agent are deceptive. They hold the tenant deposit for 45 days and charge the old tenant for any complaints of the new tenant. I will always hold this view of the company as an organizational practice because A. Worst property managers in the history of rental companies. Customer service sucks, they care about the landlord needs and never the tenants. Renters beware
My landlord uses Long & Foster (L&F) Property Management to manage the apartment I rent. My list of grievances with this company is long but in a gist, L&F is non-responsive half of the time and rude the other half of the time. Recently, I tried to add a roommate to my lease, which I'm allowed to do and for which I am charged an exuberant fee of $250 each time.
