Worst Moving Experience Stay as far away from this company. Double charged at pick up from original estimate late with delivery if they give you a date of delivery be prepared not to get it for at least a week to 10 days later also be prepared for some of you items to be lost and broken. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, YOU'LL REGRET IT! I've moved crosscountry twice with different moving companies, the latter being this one. Provided an estimate and went through each room of my home, with accurate information on each item.The estimate that they gave me was SO FAR OFF from the final. I own a lot of breakables. So naturally I was worried for how they were going to travel from Danbury, CT to Raleigh, NC. I specifically asked the movers from Long Distance to take extra care of my glassware. They did exactly that. They were very well equipped and methodically packed everything carefully. They packed everything in the van like Tetris. In the end, when my belongings arrived in North Carolina I checked to make sure everything arrived unscathed. Distance just left my house an hour ago. As promised they showed up in one of their trucks, wearing their uniforms, with their bill of lading. I got swindled by a broker once before and didn't want to deal with brokers. Long Distance showed me on their DOT page that they are indeed a carrier and that why I chose them. I'm glad I did too! I was definitely pretty nervous at first but had a great experience with Long Distance that I wanted to share. I'm not the type of customer to ask for unreasonable things, and I don't think the things I asked of Long Distance were unrealistic. I just wanted the job to get done quickly, safely, and affordably. The sales person lied and I was fool enough to believe. Do not trust anything that is not in the contract, even with his texts where he openly mislead me, if it is not in the contract (even though their "supervisor" tells you that they have to include the information because it is standard, but that he is aware of your time constraint) they will wait until the last possible date within that contract to complete delivery. when you call to get updates they stall for time, knowing that they had to make time after lying to you t... read more
Long Distance put forth 110% effort when it came to meeting my needs. I'm one happy and satisfied customer. Anthony and rabbi were most excellent. These guys thoroughly blanket wrapped and pad wrapped everything. They packed all of my glass and mirrors. They were so nice and very helpful. I was originally planning on selling all my furniture and buying new to avoid headaches but Long Distance told me not to worry and that I was in good hands. They were definitely right!
My experience with Long Distance was no different than the hundreds of great reviews I read. The price was in the middle but they really pushed value. To me it’s worth spending an extra 100$ for no BS. Long Distance delivered on everything they promised and then some. Got my job out on time and even threw in a free TV box for my OLED sonny. We worked with Jon Kaufman to set up a move from Los Angeles, CA to North Canton, OH. We then worked with Brittany Ronchetti while the move was in transit. We also interfaced with Tommy Worley and Sammy. All were very professional and provided great service. We found the rates to be very reasonable. The move was a great experience and we would highly recommend Long Distance Relocation Group Inc. to anyone who needs to contract with a moving company.
