Honestly, I’m not sure what was happening behind the counter today. The place wasn’t even busy, but somehow our coffee took 30 minutes to arrive—and they didn’t even remember we were waiting! We actually had to go and remind them, “Yep, we’re still waiting for our coffee.” And the best part? We told them five or six times that we wanted the coffee in a mug, not takeaway. My personal and honest review of our experience at Lollipops Playland & Cafe, Clyde North. I booked the Build-a-Bear birthday package for 8 children and paid to add an additional 5 children at $40.90 each, bringing the total to 13 children. In total, we spent around $800 for the party. This was on a Sunday, and the playcentre itself was relatively quiet, so I was expecting the party to be fairly organised and run smoothly. I was extremely disappointed with my most recent visit. The facility is in urgent need of repair and basic maintenance. Safety equipment was not properly secured to the metal frames. Large sections of the play equipment were poorly lit because lights were not working, leaving those areas dark and uninviting. The entire space felt dirty and sticky and appeared as though it had not been properly cleaned for some time. I was particularly concerned about the car ride. Very disappointing experience at Lollipops Clyde North. We won’t be returning. I thought I’ll try a different location of Lollipops instead of my local one but what a terrible decision it was! The toddler area was not being supervised properly, with much older children running through and repeatedly slamming the toddler gate, making it unsafe for toddlers.
