I think if this officer isn't fired, he should at the very least be suspended until he learns to manage his firearm! Waving it around is the most ASSININE thing I have heard to date!! Wonder if Officer D.A. has a dog or kids. If an officer ever even points a gun at one of my dogs or my family, his wife will receive a folded flag. My dogs are a part of my family and they will be respected as such! Or whomever doesn't will pay with their life!

Unbelievable. You people have your jobs to protect people and serve them, instead you act like you are above the law. Did you have a warrant to enter that woman's property? Was there probable cause? Or do you people just think people are too stupid to understand their own rights. Shame on you. The officer who committed this crime needs to be fired, and have criminal charges pressed on him.

Shame on you for employing a bully with a gun; Killers kill. When you allow them to get away with it. Please install Mandatory pet training for all officers and a Mandatory animal control procedures in dealing with family pets. There have been ZERO officer deaths by dog, but a dog is killed by a cop (no longer deserving of the title "officer") every 98 minutes! Deadly force should not be allowed, until ALL other options have been Exhausted. The NATION is Watching!!!

I think your department needs to review your deputies' use of deadly force against family pets. I just read this article about your deputy killing a Guthrie family's dog, and I hope you deal with him. He should at least be fined, made to pay restitution to the family (not that money will make up for the trauma to the children of the family, who saw their pet killed), and do community service. See Fox25 TV's report for more information.
