First off let me just remind people that it is "LOCKHART, TEXAS" and they're known for BBQ and not fancy hotels. That being said, for the price, the hotel was great (and I am a hotel snob). The room was very clean (even smelling a tinge of bleach was a nice aroma), the bed was comfortable, the air worked (a little too well), and it was quiet. This motel had a real pleasant atmosphere from the very start. The owners/managers are the nicest people that I've ever met. My room was nicely appointed and quite spacious. I remember calling the front desk and asking where the ice machine was and if the soda machine stocked any diet soda. He said he would check on the diet soda and call me right back. Nice and clean room and a very reasonable price for a Friday $55. We came to Lockhart after a long road trip and stayed the night. My judge of a hotel is the shower head. There was great water pressure. I'm happy. The beds are comfortable and there was a new flat screen HD tv in the room. If you're in town and looking for a place to stay look here first. The hotel is older, but the lady at the desk was friendly and informative of what was in town.
We stayed here while hurricane Harvey was going on! We went here just to eat BBQ food! I think he was the owner of the building and I don't know his name, but he was there everyday at the reception desk and was soooo friendly & welcoming! It made our stay! Everything was clean & had great appliances in the room, kitchen, microwave! I would recommend this place 100% only unfortunate thing for us was the rain! But that didn't stop us!!! Thank you :)
