Rented a unit when between apartments for school. Units were great, access was never an issue, and customer service was fantastic. They were super knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs.
Recently started renting space there. Easy process....you do most online then sign a few things in person on your first visit. Friendly staff. They have locks to purchase if need be. Clean storage unit. So far so good.
The place is spotless, and Charlotte is wonderful. We were in a bit of a spot responding to a family member's passing, and were not adulting very well when we first met. Charlotte was patient and kind, and got us a shiny clean unit into which we could move the contents of a home, all in under an hour. She helped us sort out payment when probate court became part of the picture, and has promptly and diligently answered all of our dumb questions throughout. I do not like that they call you and harass you constantly over stupid things. I’ve gotten more calls from a storage unit facility than I’ve ever needed. Also I don’t like that they use mothballs in their units; they all smell strongly of mothballs so be prepared for that. Finally, they have mice/rat box traps which they place right by your unit every few doors they freak me out. Asked them to move them they did briefly and then moved them back. They have zero grace.. Had an excellent and easy experience with LIU. There is a strong smell of mothballs, but I appreciate their efforts to keep the pests away. Charlotte, the attendant, is great!
