Door guy was asking alot of questions when carding us. We had a party of 7. All older adults. Just wanted to have a couple of beers.
Great food and atmosphere. Not a huge menu but all the food is good! Large platter of fries feeds more than 6!!

I went back to visit Penn State after not being able to visit for 5 years and decided to check out Local Whiskey since I'm a big fan of Champs and whiskey. Their whiskey menu was very impressive! I ordered the S.S.C.S. (seared salmon caesar salad) which is what it was called on the menu. The server rolled her eyes and said "you mean the salmon." in a very snippy tone. The best bar in State College. Just recently relocated from Boston and was introduced to Local Whiskey. The staff is great, the specialty drinks are fabulous. In recommend the Bee Sting!!!
Great service,comfortable seats, and cozy booths. The cocktails are numerous,inventive,and inexpensive.
