Clay sausage and find the peppers. Had a bad experience last visit with garlic quantity on the pasta so tried something one should not mess up... sausage and peppers. What a mistake.. of the two who had this, all reported the same. Sausage as firm and tasteless as clay and 'peppers', had to look to find them. world class this is by far and away my all time favorite restaurant, and it has been for many years. i used to go there with my parents when i was a little girl, and i still love it to this day!
Food was Great Service not so much We enjoyed our food and felt it was worth every penny. We are a party of 11 and they added a 20% gratuity. I think the waitress felt she was getting 20% so why try. She never refilled our drinks. We had to ask for everything. I saw her more at the tables of 2 and 4 around us then by us. I decided to leave only a 10% tip rather then the 20% they requested. Omaha's Best Italian Restuarant Omaha wouldn't be the same without Lo Sole Mio. Between the divine staff of classy waiters and waitresses to the smiling faces greeting you at the door to the Italian atmosphere to the wonderful and amazing food... Lo Sole Mio is the best. The little hole in the wall turned star This is a fabulous resturaunt with all the little touches of italy. From the moment you walk in you know you are in for a treat. I always go for a late lunch where the portions are the same and the price is a little less. You start your meal with bread and roasted garlic and tomato basil. Wonderful! The atmosphere here is great, the food is delicious, and our service was excellent! I had the tortellini and i managed to get about 3 or 4 lunches just from my leftovers! Also, I recommend the small glazed chocolate cake from the desert menu- it's the perfect portion, and who can say no to warm chocolate cake? We went on a weeknight, and we waited less than 5 minutes for our table.
You have to try this place!!! My husband and I held our rehearsal dinner here, and the food was delicious. The service was great. Everyone left wishing they had a refrigerator in their hotel rooms, as they were all visiting from out of town for the wedding. To this day, when family comes back to visit, they ask if we can go back for more. My husband and I are always happy to go back, as it is some of the best food we have had in Omaha thusfar!!! PROS: Anything on the Menu, Atmosphere, and Service!!!!! CONS: None!
You won't leave hungry!!! If you want good Italian food, you can't go wrong with Lo Solo Mio in Omaha. The meal starts out with fresh roasted garlic and a tomato basil salad to eat with fresh bread - very very delicious! The pasta meals are HUGE - one meal can easily be shared by two (or even three) people for lunch. All types of traditional pasta dishes are served - the lasagne is very good, and there is a seafood linguini that is to die for! PROS: CONS: can be very crowded.
