Delicious BBQ meats! I love that I can get a variety of meats in one plate with generous portions. The rice is perfectly cooked and macaroni goes well with the meals. The addition of Lumpia and Malasadas on their menu is a treat! My other favorites are the Saimin Ramen, Musubis, Kalua Pork and the breakfast plates with over easy eggs with dripping egg yolks on rice.
I'm Hawaiian and I was craving for some local grindz. However this particular place did not do it for me. No heart in the food, I had the worst lau lau, the grilled chicken tasted like yesterday's chicken, Mac salad was gross,they couldn't even get the rice right. I guess you can't expect local foods when you got houle's working the front and the back of the kitchen. And they forgot the Kimchi.

The $16 plate is not enough for leftovers…. It’s now considered a “small” and that price used to get you the large tray. Now they just give you a small one. You have to spend >$22 for the large?! Oh no. 😬
Great little spot to try Hawaiian BBQ San Diego style…
