I recommend Mrs Laura. My son has been seeing her since he was 4 years old. My son had some extreme anger problems that I as a mother didn’t know what else to do. She has helped him so much that he is now an A/B honor roll student, still trying to cope through anger. Now my 5 year old sees her as well. She is the best. find somewhere else that will actually listen to you, will be consistently reliable, and doesn’t pressure you to talk about things that you constantly say you don’t want to talk about. she is unprofessional, unorganized, and uses your sessions to take her dog outside or talk about her own problems. don’t waste your time and money. i remember her calling her friend (IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR SESSION) to bring her a soda. please just look elsewhere.
Started my preschool aged son in play therapy. We had 1 visit and Lara let us know that she had a family medical issue that she was dealing with so she may need to reschedule our next visit. No problem. She then called me after business hours to cancel his next visit and said she would call to reschedule. This was months ago and I have not heard anything. My daughter was seen as well as my husband and I separately. Laura stopped responding to my calls, emails, etc. Not to mention she was judgmental during our couples sessions. She always "sided" with my husband (he pointed this out). I went to another office and was diagnosed with Post-pardum anxiety and they helped me work through the very issues she scolded me for.
I loved her . She did well listening to my son & helping him improve his behavior. The first therapist my son actually opened up too.
