I have purchased many items on live auctioneers and have never had a problem possibly because I contact the auctioneer directly and immediately to have the item paid for and picked up by a shipper. I do notice that on items where I think I am the highest bidder...for some reason it turns out that I am not. I have never dealt directly with Live Auctioneers...only the auction houses.
I spent ~$2,000 with Henry's auction house in Germany. After eight weeks I have not received the items I bought...and LiveAuctioneers has been USELESS in helping. If you call their help number, you get a recording to press 1 for help and then they hang up on you. Use BidSquare or Invaluable or anyone other than LiveAuctioneers. Bottom line: I've been screwed out of ~$2,000 and LiveAuctioneers hasn't lifted a finger to help.
I won an item and paid for it. The auction house shipped the wrong item to me. I could not get the auction house to ship me the right item. I tried and tried to contact them but they have the worst support in the industry. Do yourself a favor and use other auction houses such as Bidsquare or Invaluable. By the way they allow the auction house to see your bid by allowing them to retract a bid once they see that the system did not increase your bid and sell the item back to you at your highest amount left.
To Liveauctioneers, I understand that you did not contact me immediately after an auction and did not disclose that I was the winning bidder. I have to assume that when not contacted and not placing an item in my cart that I am not a successful bidder. I was notified several days after the auction that I am a winner. Completely agree with the previous rating. This group is really abusive. It will not protect buyers, customers, on-line bidders. It operates in a private world and rarely responds to emails. Try looking for a way to withdraw your "so-called membership".
Because of the lack of support for the on-line bidder within Live Auctioneers and the complete one sidedness behavior and actions in favor of the auction houses, I have lost thousands of dollars from crooked auction houses that are endorsed by Live Auctioneers where unlike Ebay, there is absolutely NO buyer protection. Live Auctioneers has turned out to be extremely diappointing in taking no responsibility, in any real way, for the items that are sold on its website. As for Western Asset Reserve, I would never ever consider buying anything from them again - for any reason whatsoever.
