We have lived here for a few months and truly enjoy calling Liv on Steele "home." Samantha, Kylie, and the rest of the staff have been kind, attentive, and quick to address our questions or concerns. The maintenance staff has also responded promptly to any requests we have made. While the building is older, it is very well-maintained, especially in comparison to other older buildings in the Cap Hill and Congress Park areas. Hardly ever at front desk during normal hours. Their front desk staff are also the staff who do showings leaving you with very little to no service when needed. No lobby waiting area to sit while you wait to get assistance.
The maintenance is an awesome team that have to deal with an aged building. Kudos to them. The office staff is bad at sending out timely emails except when it involves money given to them. They are friendly and helpful in person. On positive side the AC died during the summer and two days into it the company provided everyone with an AC on wheels till it was fixed. The building is terrible, dusty, only 3 washers and 3 dryers for 7 floors of apartments. They are always breaking down, burning clothes or just leaving a bad smel... read more

In short, DO NOT RENT AT LIV ON STEELE. We rented at Liv on Steele for a little over a year, and we have nothing but negative things about the management. The apartment itself was fairly nice, spacious, with a working fireplace (in ours), and a decently large balcony. The air conditioner in the spare bedroom never worked, despite several work orders. The building also only ever has heat OR air conditioning, so the fall/spring months can be quite uncomfortable. The washer and dryer on the 3rd floor did not work for 5 straight... read more
