I started seeing Dr. Liu right at a time when I was suicidal. Dr. Liu wasn't the only person who pulled me out of that, but she was there with helpful treatment and caring ears. I usually don't do well with speaking to people, but she is empathetic and cares.
Dr Liu has little regard for her patients' well being and it is concerning to me. I have been seeing Dr Liu for anxiety, and she shows no urgency in treating me, and only prescribes obscure mood stabilizers that did nothing to mitigate my anxiety. After communicating this to her, she was very condescending to me, telling me, "everyone deals with stress, yours is no different." In all, I felt very mistreated and hurt by her treatment. Please do NOT visit her practice.
Dr. Liu really took the time with my wife and I to really understand my problem. Thanks to her guidance and treatment I am feeling like my old self again.
Dr. Liu has been our psychiatrist for over 3 years. She treats my grown daughter who is on the autistic spectrum for severe Anxiety/Depression and my grown son who has Mood Disorder NOS. She treats me for anxiety and my husband also. She is far and above any other psychiatrist we have ever had because she also has a doctorate in psychopharmacology. So she is excellent in prescribing medication and knowing the drug interactions. I highly recommend her. I don't know what we would do without her.

By far one of the best Doctors to go to for help. Dr. Liu has helped me through my problems every step of the way and is attentive to all you needs. I highly recommend Dr. Liu.
WORST PSYCHIATRIST IN HOUSTON!!! She will not prescribe anything useful for severe issues such as anxiety or depression, minimizing your issues. She will attempt to push off bizarre mood stabilizers as the solution and should you protest, demand and even threaten to "call an ambulance and have you taken away". This was all within 30 minutes of meeting this lady, and she responded in this hostile way simply because I questioned her prescriptions. She barely speaks English and is DANGEROUS!!
I saw Dr. Liu in March 2015 and really enjoyed having time with her. My mental detriment had caused me legal troubles and with the doctor's help, I was able to learn more about myself and overcome my hardship. Dr. Liu is one of the few psychiatrists that I take at face value. She is kind and very compassionate with her patients and really takes time to get to know them and their issues. I will continue to see Dr. Liu in the future and I would recommend her to anyone suffering mental detriment.
She is the best! Very intuitive and interested in what is best for her patient. I am very comfortable with her.
