I've been going to Dr Liu's practice for a few years now and have overall been very pleased with all of the staff and providers here! They're very polite and get back to me quickly through the MyChart app. I feel that the providers here take the extra time to listen and address my concerns.
Love this health care provider. Office staff is always pleasant and accommodating. Able to get in for emergency issues on short notice. Staff always responds to electronic and voice messages within 24 hours or less and they always follow up shortly after a visit, weather it's in person or video call. Dr. Liu is all about your body healing naturally if possible and doesn't prescribe pharmaceuticals for every little thing. Could never find a better office to provide care services!
I have been a patient at this office for years and pre-COVID they were amazing, not so much now. A few months ago, I had a video appointment with Dr Jay and he talked to me like I'm an idiot for most of the call. When I defended myself, he told me he "didn't need my attitude". Today, I drove 35 miles, 70 miles round trip, for an appointment that SHOULD have been a video appointment. The NP I saw knew that it should have been a video appointment but did nothing. I very much appreciate this administrative team and health care professionals. I have always been treated with respect, patience and skill. I've been with them for over 4 years and I can't thank them enough!
I have several medical conditions that require regular visits and I am definitely my worst patient as I myself have been in the healthcare industry for 20+ years but Dr. Liu and her Nurse Practitioner Noelle are very good of keeping track of my care and doing the right thing. The staff at the fair oaks location is completely incompetent. Enough to make me move my whole family to another practice.
Quality of care has declined drastically over the last 10 years. Including compassion, empathy, and understanding which are rarely seen any more. Almost all appointments are made with a physician assistant, or nurse practitioner. To see Dr. Liu one must schedule an appointment months out. Staff turnover is high. Office staff appear rushed and overwhelmed at times. Some staff are rude. Electronic information lacks usefulness and integrity - is mixed up, unclear, and lacks sufficient information.

I am sorry you feel our quality has declined. By all clinical measures and patient-satisfaction surveys done by the insurance companies of their members, we consistent rank the top 15 practices in the greater Sacramento area over the last 7-8 years. We have the same EMR for 10 years and it's gotten light years better over this time. I wish you would have spoken to me directly and given me some specific examples so that I may address any lack in quality that you saw. I wish you the best!
My first visit to Dr. Liu office and I am very happy I chose this office. Very attentive and friendly front desk. Nurse practioner, Nisha was very kind and professional. I highly recommend this practice!

Thank you! I'll get on my soapbox for a bit because I like that you mention we take our time to listen and to help. :) That is one of the advantages of running a private practice. I get to practice medicine the way I want - placing patient-care above all else (even if appt does take longer), creating a work-culture that supports our care philosophy and our team-approach to care, and hiring compassionate staff who enjoys helping people. It is not easy, but it is very satisfying and humbling!!
