Very good beer selection – I'm not sure what "it" is, but little woodrows seems to have it. It's kind of surprising that considering they only sell beer and wine (no hard stuff) and that you can throw a stick and land a dozen bars in midtown, they're always full. I've been coming for years off and on and they WERE mid-town before there was a mid-town. Who knows, maybe it's the pretty "beertenders" who tease and make you feel like you have to be cool enough to order from them, the open air, or the football. It WOULD be nice i... read more

Women, don't go alone! – I've been to Woodrows many times with larger groups of friends that include males and have no problems, but every time I go with just one or two female friends, the female waitresses completely ignore us! The most recent time I went, my friend and I sat at a table for over an hour without anyone offering us a menu or drink. The waitresses came and went to tables of guys and mixed groups on either side of us, but never acknowledged us!!

Popular Texas icehouse offers beer, wine, mimosas and games at this southeast outpost complete with a tree-shaded backyard. – In Short Making good use of its spacious site, this Southpark Meadows location of the downtown favorite fans out under the surrounding trees. Keeping things close to nature, picnic tables sit beneath the branches on a gravel-covered, landscaped patio. Inside features Woodrow's signature dark woods and classic irreverent signage. Large garage doors open up in the front and back of the building, allowin... read more

No Pretense – Jeans & T-Shirt: OK. It's one of the only places in midtown without a snobby crowd. The prices are average and the waitresses are hot. I live less than a block away and this is probably my favorite bar in the area.

Great beer specials – If you are going to the Village for beer, then be sure to stop by Little Woodrows. It has beer specials for every day of the week - some not so amazing and others that are pretty good deals. The crowd is not so bad either. I was expecting more of the "prep" and "jock" type, but in reality you have a nice blend of people - old and young, trendy and laid-back. Parking may be difficult on busy nights - as is the case with all of the bars in the Village that do not have their own lots. But you are bound to ... read more

great place for a beer on the patio – quite a small establishment that only serves beer, it's highlight is in it's spacious patio out in front. the ambience is laid-back and "come-as-you-are" with a hole-in-the-wall vibe. great place to hangout and socialize with friends.*

Cozy little bar – Sometimes the village gets packed but you can always get a beer here. Cheap drinks indoor & outdoor seating, and a pool table.

Popular after work spot for downtown professionals in search of ice cold beer and outdoor seating. – In Short The smallest of the Little Woodrow's clan makes up for its size with a giant wooden patio. This relaxed beer garden boasts the same amenities that have made Little Woodrow's a local institution: more than 100 beers (22 on tap), happy hour specials and a sports-friendly crowd. A wall of garage doors open to bring in the outdoors. Pool tables, Golden Tee and TVs tuned to the game add to the entertainment.

User review by aggiechance – Lil Woodrows is the classic midtown bar. It's wonderful for meeting up with friends, grabbing beers (especially the post 9p happy hour), and watching sports on the big tvs. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to dress casually, sit outside with the patio doors open, and have good conversation. Its rarely too loud and even has a Golden Tee.
