I went by reviews from many news papers and locals and I couldn't wait to try this place because it was the "Best of Chinese". It happened to be my birthday so I decided to try it. It was mostly hot chili peppers and oil. It was horrible. There had to be thirty to fourty whole cayanne peppers in each dish. We asked for containers and we were handed two tiny rice containers which seemed impossible even for the trained person who boxes food items to possibly fit two platters of stuff into them. Unfortunately we left containers... read more

I'll be back, and will be more adventurous We're new to the area, and had yet to branch out to try a Chinese place. This was a good pick! We started with the basics (Sesame Chicken & General Tao's Chicken) and were very satisfied. The chicken & breading were fresh and promptly made ready for pickup.

We started with the basics (Sesame Chicken & General Tao's Chicken) and were very satisfied. The chicken & breading were fresh and promptly made ready for pickup. Their menu is very deep, including many things I've never seen at other Chinese restaurants. It'll be fun to branch out & test my palate.

Disappointment for "The Best..." – Recent visit on a Sunday around noon expecting the lunch menu to be offered (as shown on their website) only to be told that the lunch menu is only offered m-f. The lunch menu includes soup and egg roll at a reasonable price. We ordered off the traditional menu, perhaps that did not showcase the Szechuan skills of the chefs but our food was ...bland. The General's chicken dish was the worst, the pieces were HARD, very difficult to cut they were so over-done. Perhaps they were last night's f... read more

Was very good before, coming down to average now – My girlfriend loves spicy Szechuan food. We used to go to Tea House in Plymouth regularly until Little Szechuan was opened in St. Paul. In the first couple of months of opening, the food in Little Szechuan was fantastic. It was 100% authentic food with large portion at a very reasonable price. We went there 3-4 times a month at that time. If we weren?t living in the southwest suburbs, we would have gone much more often. Unfortunately the quality of the food was deteriorating... read more

Great food! – In my opinion, this is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. Every dish I've tried there has been delicious, large portions, and at a reasonable price. It's busy almost every day but the longest I've had to wait for a table is 15 minutes. The Chung King Chili Chicken is one of the best dishes, however some days it's a good temperature and others it's so spicy I haven't been able to eat it.

Hands Down most authentic Chinese Food in the STATE!!! – My wife and I lived in Szechuan for two years. We love Szechuan food and are constantly frustrated when a menu boast something is Szechuan style and it's terrible. This place is the real deal. We eat here as often as we can afford. We have not found a thing on the menu that tastes bad. The service has picked up but frankly for the taste we put up with as the chinese say, mama huhu, service. I can say that from our first visit 'til last week when we were there the servi... read more
