Grew up on this and make it a point to stop in every time I come back to town.
The chips tasted like they had been fried in old oil and some were burnt. My wife tried a stuffed sopapilla with chicken. The chicken was mush. The waiter took it back and brought another stuffed sopapilla with shredded beef. Same thing. Mushy with no flavor. Those two items were taken off the bill. I had carne adovada which was ok but not true carne adovada but instead cooked pork with red chili poured over it. Very disappointed!
I miss the days when Little Anita's would serve a basket of warm sopappillas as you were seated at the table. Now, when I asked how much for 1, the server said 50 cents each. I then said I'd like 2. Then, the server came back and said they're 75 cents each. Will not be back here again!
Very good food, red chili was prefect.
