I took my best man Zeus there for our first visit yesterday. What would have taken several visits at his previous vet was found in one. Usually scared around men, Zeus took to Dr. Kraut within seconds of meeting him. I could not believe how thoroughly Zeus was examined. He even was brave enough to smell his breath! ;) Now with a treatment plan in place, I am confident that Zeus and I are with the best vet in the area. The entire staff here is fantastic. They are so informative and professional. Very friendly. When I'm in a jam they always work with me on the cost.
Still drying my eyes, as it was with some uncertainty we had made the ultimate decision of love to put our elderly dog down today before her suffering became too much. However, she took a very unexpected traumatic turn late in the day about an hour prior to our appointment time. Dr Kraut and his entire staff were so gracious and kind and caring as they eased her distress with a tranquil passing. I was taking my cat to a vet in Torrington when she got sick and wasn't getting better. After 3 weeks of that vet giving me no answer I made any emergency appointment at Litchfield hills veterinary. They found out what was wrong with her immideatly and were shocked to find her bladder so full of blood it looked like they had taken a blood sample and not a urine sample. I will always be grateful to them for saving my little girls life.
I take all our pets to LHVH! I love that Dr Kraut aims to educate me and ALWAYS answers all my questions I never feel like I am being rushed. Recently we had to put down our cat Toby every one was very compassionate and caring, allowing us the time we needed to say goodbye before beginning the process. Can't say enough about how great they are.
Love that I have such a great vet in the same town I live in. They provide excellent care for my dog, and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.
Been going there for years since 08 dr kraut is amazing. Usually never had a problem always friendly til rescently long story short I fell behind on a payment which I made them aware of why. Called to tell them My dogs having problems breathing and they refused to see him because of $$ owed and when I called to get his records transferred so another vet could see him right away got an attitude from the receptionist..nice way to treat a long time customer staff not so friendly
They are so kind here. Dr. Kraut is one of the nicest people I've ever met!
