Can’t say enough good things about the Listowel OB department! The care was exceptional. Dr Connors and the nurses were really dedicated to ensuring our needs were met during labour and postpartum
To say I was impressed would be an understatement. In a world where you have to wait hours upon hours to be even see by a nurse and/or doctor and sit in a waiting room full. Listowel Hospital wasn’t that for us last night. I will spare the details of why we were there. But we seen and heard in less then a hour. This was at 3:30/4 am this morning and the night staff were for lack of a better word AMAZING! The staff on hand were kind, understanding and made a hospital visit enjoyable. So grateful to have a quality hospital in Listowel! The staff are always on point. Yes everyone can complain about wait times, but that's not at all the fault of the people working. There are procedures to follow, unexpected situations arise, and staff need to also operate at a pace that is sustainable for them to maintain (it may come as a shocker but doctors and nurses are human, and I know many of us wouldn't be able to function under the pressures hospital staff regularly deal with!).
