I was thrilled to find a strabismus specialist when I moved to New York. I had surgeries as young as 6 months old (I am now 54), that were botched and did not work. It is refreshing these days to have a doctor actually listen and hear what I am saying, not talk down to me, but rather include me in the process and spend the time needed instead of rushing me out the door to fill some insurance quota.
