I chose Lisa King because most of the reviews were good. On top of that, she’s the only one who accepts my insurance in the Atlanta area! Our first appointment went well. She was getting to know me and then a week later I was billed for the full amount at $160. Long story short, I called her twice and she told me my claim was rejected and she would “check with her biller” .I called my insurance company twice, and they told me a claim was never filed! I've had very negative experiences with this therapist, she tried to repress my identity as a male as hard as she could, going as far as to even recommend political books to my mother. Along with this she would talk about her daughters during my sessions frequently, giving her more business and just overall more harm then good.

I have had an excellent experience with Lisa King Smith. We have worked through several issues that have been affecting me for decades. I appreciate that she has allowed me to process a variety of issues without attempting to direct me to specific outcomes. Highly recommended.

Lisa has so far been very helpful for me. We discuss matters that have been binding me up, but she let's me work out my own decisions in how to handle situations. The last year has been hell for my wife and I. Lisa has kept me from going over the edge. She has helped me see where I am able to set boundaries but also understand I need to respect my wife's boundaries. I couldn't ask for more from a therapist trying to help me through the maze of my own doing.
