Long wait, you call to set up an appointment but they will never pick up. Closed majority of the day, that means you only have 2 hour window to call and hope someone picks up... I left multiple voice messages, and im still waiting for a call back. Theyre closed Fridays, and they leave early Thursdays. Which means they are open 3 days a week for a few hours... Don't forget! They are close during lunch hours as well. You have better luck finding someone new and faster...
Great experience at AIDC! From the check-in to to nursing staff and Dr. Ellis; everyone was exceptional in their professionalism and greetings. Dr. Ellis was specially friendly and took the time to make sure I had all my questions answered and explained the treatment regime in terms I could understand. Highly recommended!
Terrible experience. I was completely brushed off, and she called my referring dr and told him "nothing was wrong" with me. Told dr ellis I've had shingles 4x, each dx by a physician, she stated those were obviously misdiagnosed bc it's 'unusual' for someone my age to have shingles that many times. She also told me I could not possibly have lyme bc there is no lyme in Tx. #1, yeah, there sure as heck is and #2, I've been in several other states. Horrible dr, horrible person. Dr. Lisa Ellis at Austin Infectious Disease Consultants has got to be one of the nicest doctor I have ever known! Her office is clean, friendly and I never wait longer than 5 minutes. She always greets me with a handshake and a smile. She always remembers what’s happening in my life like my wedding or my upcoming honeymoon. She explains things simply and lets me ask 10,000 questions because I am an anxious person. She doesn’t appear to be in a rush and is very present during the appointment! Smart, kind, compassionate and thorough-these are a few words I can think of to describe Dr. Ellis. It’s not easy being a patient sometimes, but I considered myself lucky to have been in her care.
