I actually LOVE DR Carey. Feel like she saved my life. Yes, she is matter of fact, but I love that about her.. My previous dr's wanted to do an extremely harsh treatment for my .9 cm breast cancer tumor. Dr. Carey let me know that she felt that was an over-treatment that would be so harsh on the rest of my organs. Organs I would need for the rest of my life. In 2000 I was treated by Dr. Carey and William Cance for breast cancer. I requested a mastectomy and was told they would not do it. I was told it was over kill, blah blah blah. I was told if it ever returned it would not be in the breast . I was given NO choice, no rights in the decisions for my care and treatment. My breast cancer has returned, it is in the same breast, it's the same cancer and it is also in my lung.
