this institution cares nothing about the patient's or their family s feelings. they don't request, notify, they just take. then notify you HOW HORRIBLE IS THAT. along with making money off of it.

I was disappointed that my sisters corneas were shipped to Saudi Arabia after donation. because of this I have been unable to connect with the recipients, or find out if they are even interested in connecting.

A family member donated his corneas and we were told we would hear from them and have something for his siblings about the donation. Called twice and twice they verified our info and said within 6 weeks I would hear from them them. Never did. It’s been 2 years!!

My mom passed away May 1st 2018. Her eyes were donated. We helped someone who needed help. This is what she would have wanted. Everyone was very sympathetic to my grieving.

I recently lost the sight in my right eye to corneal scarring due to a lesion. Ironic how personal injury can take away that one thing they love, for me that's long range shooting. I thought i lost it forever this time. I was referred to the best corneal surgeon in my area Dr. Herbert P. Knauf and my hopes were raised.
