Needed a colonoscopy and referred to Dr. Aslan. During brief interview, he insisted that I also needed an endoscopy down my throat. I asked several questions and received no answers. He just kept insisting that I needed an endoscopy. I asked if I could have the colonoscopy and skip the endoscopy. He said well, if I didn't have it, I would be “required” to sign a waiver. I have been Dr. Deroee patient for about 2 years now. I had extreme back pain because of nerves in my back that give me a lot of pain. Every six months I have my nerves burned. The procedure doesn’t hurt at all and once he is done the pain is completely gone! I have a bad knee that is crushed bone on bone. I was referred to Dr. Deroee for back pain that I had suffered with for many years. It was with his recommendations and treatment that I was able to get relief of my pain and return to doing the things that I enjoy doing without oral medications that gave little or no relief. I appreciate all his efforts and concern for my well being.
I was admitted to the hospital with severe case of valley fever. The assigned Dr. on call was less than stellar. Two weeks later I was begging to be released I then went to John Muir Walnut Creek and Dr. Callister and his associates took over my care while I was in a coma with the support of UC Davis. The difference in care was incredible, mostly in the treatment plan. I continued seeing Dr. Callister for a total of 4 years until I moved out of state. Finding another ID doctor to handle my case has been a challenge.
My husband scheduled an appointment for a routine colonoscopy consultation in May 2023. During the consultation, Dr. Rowe recommended an abdominal scan, which he underwent after the appointment. However, due to the inclusion of this additional test, the office did not bill the insurance as a routine consultation. Without sending us a bill, they automatically charged his credit card (on file) $215.
