After a two hour drive there and another two back home, not sure we'll return. We loved the drive thru tour, my 21 mo old granddaughter was screaming with delight. After the tour we went inside the park, we did the mining, petting zoo, fed ducks and fish and the giraffi's, another highlight. Then the rains came so we decided to go eat. BIG MISTAKE. Enjoyed the "Safari" car ride. Especially liked the CD that narrated our trip. Rest of the park had lots of things to see & do. Unfortunately, it rained while we were there. Most attractions were shut down & stayed closed even long after the rain stopped. Grandsons were bummed that the water park area did not re-open.
Enjoyable time driving seeing the animals although it was a downpour of rain. We even had a close view of an ostrich as he came to our window to peep in. Unfortunately the rain cut our trip short since we were unable to experience the water area and also the other things to see inside. In cases like this, a rain check should be offered because my kids were very disappointed having an hour drive there and not being able to experience everything.
It was a really neat experience, the girl in the front office really helpful. We got there right at opening so all the animals were out. Unforantely its Florida and the rain came so everything shut down for a time. But we really enjoyed it.
I loved it. Look forward to going again. Staff was so nice too.
I would have given Lion Country Safari 5 stars--BUT it rained (one of those spontaneous rains) during the Drive Thru part AND we NEVER got to do the Walk thru park of the zoo Very disappointing The admission and parking are not cheap either--worth the price IF you get to see it ALL! AND there are no adjustments or refunds made if you are rained out My Grandson, visiting from NC, was very disappointed LION COUNTRY SAFARI--you need to consider giving rain checks!!!!!

When you first pay at the entrance,there was this lady,not sure her name,but we went on Tues 6/13,she was so very nice. Had a nice laugh. Going thru the park we really didn't see the Lions which I would have liked seeing more of. Did not know we could not drive thru again. Disappointing that nobody mentioned it to us,because we would have done it a Lil later. The park was good,but did not see any shows playing. Bumper cars were not operational. Bummer.
