Dr. Kong was knowledgeable and friendly when my daughter and I first visited for a consultation about her underdeveloped tear duct. We scheduled the surgery for June 2024, and on the day of the procedure, Dr. Kong warmly greeted our family and performed the surgery in a professional and timely manner. My wife and I were prepared for how our daughter would react upon waking up from the anesthesia (that was a tough moment) and were advised to closely monitor her recovery. Save yourself the headache and don’t go here! Dr Kong is very unprofessional and rude. First visit to the office she got in my face and told me my daughter’s eyes are the way they are because mine are like that and that I needed to stop trying to get her into glasses. This was our first time ever seeing an ophthalmologist. Yesterday was our second visit for a follow up and her office changed our appointment time to 20 mins earlier than we scheduled without consulting me. My son saw Dr. Kong about a year ago when she first moved to this practice. We went back today, since I know he will need surgery soon and wanted to follow up as I had not been consistent with appointments. She was absolutely amazing with him. Told him how good he was doing as she was testing him. She sees very knowledgeable and was very helpful thru the appointment.
Dr. Kong is by far the most unprofessional doctor I’ve ever had to see. She was incredibly rude, and didnt listen to a word I had to say about my condition. She constantly cut me off as I was speaking, and would say “well I have a room full of kids who have the same problem. Why are you different?” The only time she listened was when my fiancé would speak. It got to the point where she ONLY spoke with him. I will admit, that after reading the two reviews for Dr. Kong, my wife and I were skeptical when we were told to make an appointment with her practice. We came to the clinic ready for a bad experience, but in our case, the opposite was the case. Dr. Kong was very professional and kind to both me and my 16 month old son. She and her staff were kind, upbeat, and seemed very comfortable around young children.
