My sister was admitted into the hospital regarding a minor heart attack. This man came into the room all of 5 seconds, barely said a word, and told her he would review her file and come back with a game plan. The NEXT DAY the nurse told my sister that the Dr. said she could go home. He never came back in to discuss or answer question or test results. The entire rest of the staff was confused why she was being discharged.
My husband was admitted with chest pains, and Dr. Amarchand took charge and discovered a 95% arterial blockage. The previous doctor said it was his gall bladder and sent us home. We’re very grateful for Dr. Amarchand and his team who found the problem, inserted a stent, and quite possibly saved my husband’s life. He and his team answered my every question and respected me as an intelligent adult.
Could care less about patients no F’s to give about them nor care.
Absolutely terrible doctor. Never explained anything to me. Abfib for two years and did not put me on a blood thinner. I felt like I was more of an annoyance rather than a patient. Waited for 2 hours to see him - he came in, didn't say hello, listened to my heart (maybe 30 seconds) and left. Of course he got his $220 dollars from my insurance company. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
My mother was admitted to Oak Hill Hospital with a UTI and dehydration. While the doctor’s name on her chart was someone else, the only doctor I ever saw after spending 11+ hours a day there was was Dr. Amarchand. He offered no information to our family. Amarchand was my relative's hospitalist at Oak Hill Hospital during summer 2020. From the start, he never cared about my relative’s well-being, was very unprofessional and disrespectful to patient and my family (i.e. 0 bedside manner), was offensive when we asked questions about patient’s care and discharge date and plan (among so many other things). No bedside manner, can’t be bothered with questions
Horrible doctor, refused to approve any of my medications and left me laying in a bed in Oak Hill Hospital for over 18 hours until I finally left AMA. The hospital has yet to call him on his egregious behavior and how he treats nurses and patients. Find another doctor and live longer!
