I'll relate my experience - we took a watch to have a battery replaced, and when it was handed back the crown was missing. Linda assured us that since the watch was in my wife's purse for 5 days it must have broken there since they couldn't produce the crown. It wasn't in the purse. I suppose it serves us right, since this is the second watch they have returned to us broken after a battery replacement.
