Avanath purchased Lincoln Park Plaza (LPP) 4 yrs ago & their goal is to churn tenants by raising yearly rents at a rate higher than can be offset by your annual raise at work (cutting into your future retirement, ability to pay off debt etc) The % of your salary Avanath takes accelerates quickly to where you can no longer afford to live at this property in a short period of time. Be mindful this property is half section 8 housing so there are a ton of issues that come along with that. The residents are great, but the property is not prioritized by the management company. Tons of issues with heat & AC being unavailable at peak times of the year. Extremely difficult to get issues resolved & the office manager is rude & dismissive. Stay far away
2 months living here and these are some of the issues I ran into to: 1. They are currently fumigating for cockroaches 2. They had an elevator break down 3. Trash on the floor and no care to keeping the place clean 4. My unit was missing a stove when my lease started and when I moved in it was not clean. Needed to clean the place myself. The location is great, and the building could be great but these are the realities of this place. Will edit this review if things get better or management does something more.
This place is not like it used to be a year ago. The AC works whenever it wants and when I call for maintanence they say its a new system. The elevators smell terrible, the hallways and carpets are dirty as hell. The parking lot smells like pist and alcohol. The hallway to the parking lot is dirty, water leaking all over. The washer and dryers no good takes 1 hr for 1 load dryers dont dry. Its terrible, after I sign another year. If i wouldve known that it got worst, I wouldnt sign. But im here another year.
